Hollowshaft Encoders

These encoders are available in either incremental or absolute position sensing, with a hollowshaft construction. The entire series has all stainless steel housings; including receptacles. In conjunction with shaft seals, this gives the units an environmental rating of IP 66; insuring immunity to the harshest washdown areas. For ease of mounting, the stainless steel encoders are available with a wide variety of flange, bore, and output circuit styles.

ProfibusDP Programmable Encoders

These encoders are available in both a shaft and large bore hollowshaft construction with a Class 2 Profibus-DP fieldbus communication protocol and 25-bits of resolution (8192 per turn and 4096 turns). Profibus-DP permits the communication between devices produced by various manufacturers without the need to adapt the interfaces. Profibus-DP is a bus system that has been optimized in terms of speed and low connection costs for quick data exchange at the field level.

The 3700 can be ordered with a variety of resolutions up to 1024 PPR in quadrature, and is available with a 5-30 V differential line driver interface. Temperature and aging compensation is standard. The cable egress employs our “Tube Tech®” cable connection technology offering strain relief 10 times greater than standard PG connections and conforms to IP 67. Applications include packaging machines, material handling, pick & place machines, vehicles, medical and office equipment.
